Maryville Parks and Recreation offers a variety of services and activities to residents and visitors. We maintain 10 parks, which offer organized and open areas for recreation, picnicking, kite flying, and children’s play as well as shelters which can be utilized for planned group programs, birthdays, baby showers, community meetings, and their outdoor amenities. In addition, community residents also enjoy the use of our Community Center, which holds a 3 court gymnasium, weight room, aerobic room, spin room, and yoga. Residents also enjoy the use of our seasonal outdoor eight lane, zero depth entry Aquatic Center with spray features, slides, and diving boards.

Along with our fine parks and facilities, Parks and Recreation organizes many events for outside organizations but also hosts several community events including Concerts in the Park and Winter Wonderland.  We invite you to explore our website and Experience MPR with us!

Job Announcement

Maryville Parks and Recreation is looking to hire a full-time park maintenance person. This is a Full-time, Non-exempt position that reports directly to the Parks Maintenance Superintendent.  This is a skilled labor position in supporting our Parks Maintenance Division, which is responsible for all maintenance functions of the Park System including the playgrounds, trails, athletic fields, courts, aquatic center, community center, ponds, shelters, trash receptacles, landscaping, bathrooms, water fountains, splash pad and general infrastructure, assuring for a clean and safe environment for the public.

Qualifications include a Valid Missouri Driver’s license. High school diploma or G.E.D., and two years related experience and or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience with light machinery and/or construction preferred.

Schedule is generally 40 hours per week, M-F, and emergency on-call basis as necessary.

Starting wage of $16.63 per hour with full benefits.
