Meet the Trainers

Joe Handlos
I am a retired educator who has worked with clients for the past 9 years. I have completed re-certification courses in corrective exercise, senior fitness, nutrition, and strength & conditioning.
My fitness journey began in high school when I competed in sports and continued I college when I earned a degree in PE and competed in powerlifting. As an educator, coach, & administrator, I’ve learned how challenging it is to maintain a healthy lifestyle in today’s world.
In retirement, I chose to become a personal trainer so I can instruct other (and myself) on how to exercise in a safe progression toward their wellness goals and enable them to have the best quality of life possible. I will work with anyone, but have a preference toward working with seniors, beginners, or those coming off an injury wanting to pursue a more active lifestyle. Certification: ISSA (International Sports Sciences Association)

Brady Farnan
Certification: NASM (National Academy of Sports Medicine)
Hello, my name is Brady Farnan. I am a recent graduate at NWMSU and found my passion for exercise during my freshman year of college. Being a three sport athlete throughout high school gave me a lot of previous experience in the weight room, and in college I decided to start taking my fitness more seriously. In doing this I was able to regain confidence and improve each day. I just recently decided to get certified by NASM and become a personal trainer. I am passionate about being a personal trainer because I want to help people reach their goals and boost their physical and mental well being. I am excited to build new relationships through this new adventure and help people crush their goals!
I can work with anyone and I specifically like to work with beginners/moderate lifters and learn their needs, what they want to get out of exercise, and what keeps them motivated.
