Class Request Form Meet the Fitness Instructors Becky Byland I am a passionate and results‑driven fitness instructor dedicated to empowering individuals of all levels to move better, feel stronger and live a bit healthier. After discovering the transformative power of movement in my own life during a New Year’s challenge at MCC in 2016, I began teaching exercise classes, which led to earning my certification as a group fitness instructor in 2023. My specialties include circuit training and Pilates. My approach blends science‑backed exercise design with motivation and adaptability. I believe in meeting clients where they are, whether they’re new to fitness or seasoned athletes, and creating workouts that are effective and enjoyable. When I’m not at MCC, you’ll find me with family, in the garden, cooking, reading, listening to music or enjoying outdoor activities. My philosophy is that fitness is more than just exercise, it’s a lifestyle, a mindset, and a way to become the best version of oneself. I’d love to help you reach your goals, whether you’re just starting out or ready to push to the next level. Let’s move together. Sheri Christensen Hello! My name is Sheri Christensen and I grew up in Maryville…after college I moved to Lee’s Summit, MO for 20 years and just recently moved back about 3 years ago. Currently and for the last 15 years+ I have been a Full-Time Licensed Realtor in MO & KS. I have a true PASSION for both Real Estate and Fitness.. I'm married with two teenage kids and a dog. Victoria Vollstedt I am a special education teacher who has a passion for overall healthy living and fitness! I currently teach Fitness Fusion and Senior Circuit classes. I also sub for toning! My husband, Scott, and I live south of Graham and farm there. We have three children, three grandchildren, and love to camp, boat, and travel. Jacque Oglesby Hi! I'm Jacque O and have been teaching fitness classes at MPR since 2003. I am married (Terry) and we have 4 adult kids, getting ready for grandbabies #2 & 3! You can find me at MPR almost every morning! If not teaching class, I'm playing pickle ball!. When I'm not at MPR, I'm at home snuggling with my 4 pound tea-cup yorkie, Lexie Renae. Terry and I live in town and enjoy sitting on our patio watching the golfers, we like playing disc golf, love riding motorcycles and we have recently purchased an RV to go adventuring in! Let the good times roll! My advice is to try EVERYTHING that MPR offers - that way you find something that you like to do and will keep coming back to get the best version of you! Stay healthy! Recently, I have added Water Aerobics to the list of classes I teach and love working out in the water! I also teach a total body fitness fusion class. My husband Adam and I are proud Maryville residents and love spending time with our children, Henry, Lucy, and Ruby. Some of my other hobbies include: reading, singing, cooking and spending time with friends and family. Heidi Komorech Chris and I moved our family here in 2009, and we have so enjoyed raising our children in Maryville. We are now in the time of life when we’re launching them into adulthood. I teach 6th grade at Nodaway-Holt, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to also lead yoga sessions from time to time. I find that practicing the yoga movements that build strength, flexibility and balance in the body also bring me more strength, flexibility and balance in my mind and daily life as well.
